Sophie is an associate in the employment team, based in the Reading office. She acts for individuals and corporate clients, advising on a broad range of employment law matters.
She has experience in contentious and non-contentious issues, and has worked on cases relating to discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal and regulatory issues as well as day-to-day HR matters such as handbook policies and other contractual issues. Sophie also advises on the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts and settlement agreements.
After studying law and criminology at the University of Sheffield, Sophie joined the firm as a trainee in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in 2020. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association as well as Penningtons Manches Cooper’s LGBTQI+ committee and socioeconomic group.
