Profile

Katie is an associate in the real estate litigation team and joined the firm in November 2021. She has experience representing a range of clients, including social housing landlords, private individuals, leaseholders, tenants, and institutional landlords.

Her practice covers all aspects of contentious residential and commercial property, and includes claims for possession, forfeiture, trespass, disrepair and dilapidations, applications for injunctions, trusts of land issues, Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 proceedings and lease terminations.

Katie qualified as a solicitor in 2019, and previously worked at another City firm specialising in social housing litigation.

Obtaining a possession order and final injunction order for a social housing landlord where the Equality Act was engaged.
Advising a residential developer on vacant possession strategy post acquisition.
Advising a social housing landlord in relation to the requirements of the section 20 consultation process, and the need to apply for dispensation in circumstances where urgent roof replacement works were necessary.
Reaching a settlement in relation to a claim brought pursuant to the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
