Elizabeth Carson

With a particular focus on high net worth individuals, she advises on complex financial disputes involving trusts, corporate assets, inherited wealth and private equity structures. Elizabeth also acts as a trusted advisor to family offices on wealth protection matters, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements. She collaborates closely with colleagues in the private wealth group to advise on all aspects of wealth protection. In addition to her financial work, Elizabeth advises parents in resolving disputes concerning their children. She has a particular interest in cases involving the international relocation of children.

Recognised as being calm and empathetic, Elizabeth provides pragmatic, strategic advice to her clients, enabling them to achieve the best possible outcomes for themselves and their families. A member of Resolution and a trained collaborative lawyer, she works to facilitate non-court dispute resolution with discretion and sensitivity whenever possible.

Dual-qualified in England and Wales and in New York, she graduated from Harvard Law School. Elizabeth is a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, serving as counsel from 2023-2025. She frequently acts in multi-jurisdictional cases, speaking French, Portuguese and Spanish.
