Elizabeth Carson

Partner

Elizabeth is a partner in the family team in London. She is a go-to lawyer for cases with a US dimension, and heads the team’s US desk.

With a particular focus on high net worth individuals, she advises on complex financial disputes involving trusts, corporate assets, inherited wealth and private equity structures. Elizabeth also acts as a trusted advisor to family offices on wealth protection matters, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements. She collaborates closely with colleagues in the private wealth group to advise on all aspects of wealth protection. In addition to her financial work, Elizabeth advises parents in resolving disputes concerning their children. She has a particular interest in cases involving the international relocation of children.

I think pre-nuptial agreements offer couples the opportunity to discuss many of the important issues – financial and otherwise – that they will grapple with during their marriage. As a family lawyer I see this as a real positive.
