Andrew is a partner in the employment team, in the London office. Ranked as a leading employment lawyer in both the Legal 500 and Chambers UK, he advises senior executives and businesses on all aspects of employment, partnership, LLP and shareholder issues, from recruitment to termination, and regularly helps clients to navigate through challenging and sensitive situations.

He has a particular focus on whistleblowing, bonus disputes, investigations, team moves, misuse of confidential information and enforcement of post-termination restrictive covenants, and is highly experienced in negotiating severance terms and resolving board-level disputes. Andrew’s corporate practice is drawn from a number of sectors including media, creative industries and financial services, where he advises on day-to-day and post-employment issues. He also acts for several household names in the technology sector.

Andrew heads the firm’s sports, media and creative industries group, specialising in complex discrimination and disciplinary matters in a sporting context. His past experience also includes the representation of players and managers with respect to the negotiation and re-negotiation of their playing/employment contracts and exiting them from their respective clubs. He also acts for sports clubs and entertainment businesses with respect to HR and employment issues.

Successfully defending an international marketing/PR agency in relation to highly sensitive allegations of sex and disability discrimination, in which the claimant was seeking in excess of £2 million.

Undertaking a review of the post termination restrictions contained in the employment contracts for a Formula 1 team.
