Asta is a dual-qualified lawyer working as an associate in the residential property team in Guildford. She qualified as a chartered legal executive in 2017 and then cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2019. Asta also has a master’s degree in law from the University of Vilnius, Lithuania.

Advising on all aspects of freehold and leasehold transactions including sales, purchases, transfers of equity and re-mortgages, Asta has a particular focus on high net worth individuals. She works closely with the firm’s private client, tax and family teams, advising on various aspects of private property held by estates, on trusts or by separating spouses.

Recent work highlights

  • Acting for a corporate client on the purchase of an investment leasehold property, successfully dealing with an extension of the mortgage offer and completing the transaction within a very tight timescale.
  • Assisting with the purchase of a leasehold property in London with a very complicated title comprised of various underleases while liaising with the other side in a pro-active manner to achieve the best outcome for the clients.
  • Advising on the purchase of a freehold property and negotiating the terms of the following supplemental documents: a new grant of access rights; a deed of easement for running services; and a deed of variation of the old covenants - the benefit of which was claimed by the original covenantor.
  • Successfully acting on the sale of a £1.95 million property that completed quickly and smoothly in just 8 days from issuing the sales particulars.
