Top 50 law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper has further expanded its corporate team with the appointment of tax partner Oliver Gutman.
Oliver, who joins the firm from Shakespeare Martineau, has over 20 years of experience advising large corporates, investment funds, owner-managed businesses, and individuals on a range of tax issues. His practice spans M&A, corporate restructuring, MBOs, equity and debt financing, private equity buy-outs and real estate acquisitions and development, with particular expertise relating to tax-advantaged investment products.

Oliver’s arrival is the latest in a series of lateral hires into Penningtons Manches Cooper’s corporate team. Most recently, this included Mona Patel, a shipping sector specialist, who arrived in January this year, and capital markets specialist Adam Carling, who joined the firm last Autumn.
