Standout performance from Penningtons Manches in The Legal 500 and Chambers UK directories

Penningtons Manches has once again received high praise from The Legal 500 and Chambers UK. Recognised as the leading guides to law firms in this country and internationally, the directories have recommended the firm in a total of over 70 practice areas. Building on the success of its rankings in both publications over recent years, Penningtons Manches has been particularly applauded for its commerciality and tailored client service.

The 2019 edition of The Legal 500 brings plaudits for the firm’s expertise in areas ranging from commercial property investment, international litigation and mergers and acquisitions to tax, trusts and succession planning for HNW individuals, technology and venture capital. Penningtons Manches is recognised as a ‘top tier’ practice by The Legal 500 in 16 areas, including clinical negligence, corporate, dispute resolution, education, employment, environment, family law, immigration, pensions, real estate and social housing. The latest edition of Chambers UK has awarded ‘band 1’ rankings to six of the firm’s practice areas, including corporate/mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property.

A total of 27 lawyers across Penningtons Manches’ dedicated practice area and sector teams have been ranked in The Legal 500’s exclusive ‘leading individuals’ list with a further 116 lawyers also recommended for their skills by the directory. Chambers UK has awarded prestigious ‘band 1’ rankings to 15 lawyers and 49 individuals have been named as ‘leaders in their field’.

These impressive rankings echo Penningtons Manches’ financial results for 2017-18, which mark its ninth consecutive year of growth. This autumn, independent legal sector analysis has described the firm as ‘leading the way’ and ‘the strongest’ in terms of growth, surpassing every other firm in its peer group’. The Times has also featured Penningtons Manches in its ‘Best Law Firms 2019’ list, commending in particular its clinical negligence, employment, inheritance and succession and personal injury capability.
