The charities practice at Penningtons Manches has won its second award in as many weeks. Team members were delighted to take home the Advisory Provider of the Year award at the Charity Times Awards 2018 ceremony, which took place last night. The awards, now in their 19th year, recognise excellence across the sector.
Penningtons Manches’ specialist team was shortlisted alongside four other well-known firms. The judges commended the firm for shedding light on a difficult issue in their efforts to enhance the relationship between legacy officers and private client practitioners. First tackled in its 2017 report Bridging the Gap, the team remained committed to developing a focus around the issue within the sector in 2018 and hosted an innovative new conference, The Legacy Conversation.
Recognised by both Chambers UK and The Legal 500, the charities team brings together a group of highly experienced experts with a clear goal of combining common sense service with an understanding of clients’ charitable motivation and priorities.
Commenting on the latest award, marketing and development director Rolland Keane says: “We are thrilled that our charities team has been named the winner in this competitive category. It is really rewarding that all their hard work and focus on client service is acknowledged at respected events like the Charity Times Awards.”
