The education team at Penningtons Manches has been appointed to the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) framework agreement for legal services. With the award of a maximum three lots, the firm’s appointment further consolidates its reputation as a leading adviser for higher education institutions and the wider sector.
Led by co-heads of education Hilary Aldred and Daff Richardson, the Penningtons Manches team will provide advice on human resources, governance, including charity, and student matters to member institutions which encompass universities and colleges, as well as government agencies, research organisations, museums and other cultural establishments.
The consortium brings together LUPC, North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium, North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium, Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium and Higher Education Purchasing Consortium Wales. It has been created to achieve both increased service standards and better commercial terms for its members on a national level.
