Penningtons Manches’ diversity and inclusion programme recognised in AllAboutLaw Awards 2017

Penningtons Manches’ commitment to eliminating discrimination and promoting equality and diversity in the workplace has been acknowledged by AllAboutLaw, a leading resource for graduates and school leavers who are interested in pursuing a career in law and a popular student job site.

The firm has been shortlisted for AllAboutLaw’s Diversity and Inclusion Award, one of a range of categories at its annual ceremony which showcases the achievements of the top firms in the legal sector for graduate vacation schemes and training contracts.

Finalists in the diversity and inclusion category are judged on several criteria, including their internal and external diversity initiatives and the measures that they have put in place to promote impartial graduate recruitment.

Penningtons Manches continues to implement a series of schemes that ensure transparent selection policies including removing names, addresses and educational institutions from trainee applications during screening. The firm is also working closely with Apply for Law, Pathways to Law and Aspiring Solicitors to maintain excellence in recruitment and taking part in mentoring programmes with BPP Law School which offer disadvantaged students access to legal professionals.

In addition to its nomination for the Diversity and Inclusion Award, Penningtons Manches has been shortlisted for this year’s Best Training Contract Award in the national law firm category.
