Twenty-five Penningtons Manches lawyers recognised in Best Lawyers 2017 edition

Penningtons Manches has once again been recognised in The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom. Best Lawyers is the ‘oldest and most highly-respected peer review guide to the legal profession worldwide’. Twenty-five of the firm’s lawyers have featured in the latest UK list across 12 practice areas, including clinical negligence, corporate finance, employment, environment, family, IT, intellectual property, litigation, pensions, personal injury, professional malpractice litigation and social housing. 

Helen Drayton, partner in the Cambridge corporate team, is new to the list this year and is ranked in the corporate finance law category. Clinical negligence and personal injury partner Alison Appelboam-Meadows was first featured in the 2015-16 edition, while Philippa Luscombe (clinical negligence/ personal injury partner) and Elizabeth Carson (senior associate in the family team) first appeared in 2014. The remaining 21 lawyers were originally featured in 2009. 

For over three decades, the Best Lawyers lists have ‘earned the respect of the profession, the media, and the public, as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals anywhere’. Lists are compiled by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which tens of thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers.
