Penningtons Manches’ Oxford office is proud to be headline sponsor of Creation Theatre Company for the third consecutive year.
For 20 years, Oxford’s innovative Creation Theatre Company has used unusual spaces around Oxford including castles, mirror tents, college gardens, bookshops and factories to bring books and stories to life. And this summer promises some exciting new experiences for its audience.
Unlike any Creation show in the past 20 years, this summer’s version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (23 June – 30 July) is part play, part quest, part treasure hunt and just a little bit Crystal Maze! Groups of 10 meet in different Oxford locations, follow the clues and encounter lovers, a group of tradesmen rehearsing a play and quite a few fairies who are up to no good (click here to view the trailer). The adventure leads to a secret garden to celebrate the wedding of Theseus and Hippolyta.
Performances of Hamlet (13 July – 13 August) will be set in 74 acres of parkland in the heart of Oxford. Creation Theatre will transform University Parks into Elsinore Castle as the young prince battles his family and his demons. The perfect setting to take a stroll in the parks before the show, pack a picnic – and hope the weather permits a perfect summer’s evening with Creation Theatre!
