The corporate team of Penningtons Manches has completed the sale of the entire share capital of MRH (GB) to US private equity fund Lone Star for an undisclosed sum. The deal had already received permission to proceed from the European Commission.
Based in Epping, MRH (GB) is the UK’s largest independent operator and owner of retail motor fuel service stations and has been a Penningtons Manches client for 18 years. Susan Tobbell, MRH (GB) director, said: “The service provided by Melvin and his colleagues throughout this transaction has been of a consistently high standard, helping the legal process to be concluded in a trouble-free manner. This replicated the experience that I have had over many years as both a private and corporate client of the firm.”
The Penningtons Manches multi-disciplinary team of corporate, employment, tax, real estate and competition specialists led by Melvin Pedro included Stephen Goldstraw, Emma Howes, Alison Lewis, Louis Manches, Chris Shelley, Hester Jewitt, and Marya McInnes.
