Creation Theatre's festive fairytale medley delights children and adults alike

Posted: 08/12/2016

Snow White, Red Cape, Rumpelstiltskin, The Star Girl, Hansel and Gretel, Godfather Death, Thumbling… all these characters from our childhood are brought to life in Creation Theatre’s magical production of Snow White and Other Tales from Brothers Grimm at The North Wall Arts Centre in Summertown, Oxford.

The inventive Creation cast cleverly weaves these traditional tales into a fun-packed family performance as Snow White (with attitude) retells them to the Seven Dwarfs, while evading the evil plotted by her very wicked but stylish stepmother. Devotees of Creation Theatre will recognise other favourite cast members from previous productions, including two thirds of The Quince Essential Players who made us laugh so much in Midsummer Night’s Dream (see photos from the show on Creation Theatre’s Facebook page here). The actors adopt a variety of roles, costumes and amusing accents as they segway between fairytales.

The North Wall has been transformed into a theatre in the round with the stalls arranged around circular tables, so you can get up close to the action. The show has won fans of all ages.

Ticket bookings for individuals and groups can be made here for Snow White and Other Tales from Brothers Grimm, which runs until 7 January.

Penningtons Manches is delighted to be headline sponsor of Creation Theatre’s Christmas shows, which also include Cinderella and the Glass Slipper at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury until 31 December.
