Penningtons Manches' clinical negligence team confirmed as leading specialist by Chambers UK 2015

The Chambers UK 2015 legal directory has again recognised the highly ranked Penningtons Manches clinical negligence practice. The ranking process includes interviews with clients, other lawyers, peers and specialists in the field. The teams and individuals in Basingstoke and Godalming have both been ranked as Band 1 with some very positive feedback. The London team was noted for its leading individual and the Cambridge team made its first entry into the directory. 

A summary of the rankings is below:

• The team in Godalming / Guildford is ranked in Band 1 for Guildford and the surrounding area and the team in Basingstoke is ranked as a Band 1 firm in Southampton and the surrounding area.
• Feedback on the team includes “very innovative and clever with how they put things together”.
• Alison Appelboam Meadows and Philippa Luscombe who head the Basingstoke and Godalming / Guildford teams respectively are both ranked as Band 1 leading individuals. Sources report Alison as “excellent and easy to work with”  and she is noted for her expertise in cerebral palsy cases. Philippa is noted for her expertise in catastrophic injury, delayed diagnosis of cancer and orthopaedic knowledge and she is reported as having “a good bedside manner" and being "professional but compassionate”.
• Alison Johnson is noted as an Associate to watch.
• John Kyriacou, who heads the London practice, is recognised as a “formidable clinical negligence practitioner” with a “cool head and ability to analyse”.
