The Cambridge office of Penningtons Solicitors LLP is delighted to be the sole sponsor for the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival 2013. The CSF celebrates its 26th season this year with performances of eight of Shakespeare’s best loved plays staged in the gardens of six Cambridge University colleges.
Described by the Sunday Times as “the most significant cultural event in the region” and ranked fourth in The Independent’s UK Top Arts Festivals, the CSF has become an annual cultural highlight in the region attracting in excess of 25,000 visitors to Cambridge for the productions which run during the six weeks of the festival.
The first half of the CSF programme starts with performances of The Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing, Cymbeline, and Romeo and Juliet which run from 8 July through to 27 July. The second half of the festival programme comprises performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Richard III, Hamlet and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, which can be seen from 29 July to 17 August. The festival season will also include seven special charity performances in memory of Margaret Elizabeth Crilly. These performances are in support of two worthy charities, the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice in Milton and the St John’s Hospice in the Wirral.
