Penningtons' graduate recruitment and training tops polls

Penningtons Solicitors LLP has been named 23rd ‘Best Company for Graduates to Work For’ by The Job Crowd, the UK’s leading graduate job review website, following surveys of graduates from across a huge range of sectors. The London and South East based firm has moved up the rankings from last year’s 46th position and has also been named as one of the top 10 law firms to work for.

The Job Crowd asked over 4,000 graduates in their first three years of employment to score their company on a range of criteria and Penningtons stood out for work-life balance, culture and training, in particular.

Penningtons takes on a limited number of trainee solicitors each year to ensure that they receive the best experience possible during their training contract. Trainees are recruited in the firm’s London, Hampshire and Surrey offices, where they are offered a choice of four seats across the firm’s wide-ranging teams during their two years of training.

The training programme is lauded for offering high levels of responsibility and client contact as well as excellent supervision and training. This has also been recognised by the recent Inside Buzz rankings, which name Penningtons as the number one law firm for formal training, hours, satisfaction with work and informal training/mentoring.

During the summer, Penningtons also won the award for 'Best Recruiter - Medium City Law Firm' at the Law Careers.Net Training and Recruitment Awards.
