Penningtons named as one of the UK's top private client law firms

Penningtons Solicitors LLP has been ranked as one of the top 25 firms in the country in Private Client Practitioner magazine's new report on the best private client law firms which has been published this week.

The Top 25 Law Firms 2012 list has been finalised after the judges benchmarked a variety of criteria - from number of clients to the size of the firms' private client teams and their turnover. The judges also used their detailed industry knowledge, backed by extensive research, in order to produce their national league table.

Penningtons' private client team has 11 partners and 30 fee earners across its offices in London, Cambridge, Hampshire and Surrey, as well as other specialists advising on related fields such as family law, residential property and immigration for high net worth individuals. Core private client services include UK and international tax planning as well as advice on wills, trusts, charities, the administration of estates and Court of Protection matters. It is recognised as a leader in its field by the UK's two main legal directories, Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession and The Legal 500. Chambers describes the team as 'a consistently impressive all-round practice' and praises it for its 'superb work'.

The Private Client Practitioner listing comes shortly after another important industry achievement for Penningtons' private client lawyers. Citywealth, a leading publisher in the wealth management sector, has included nine of its partners - Lesley Lintott, Clare Archer, Mike Cash, Laura Dadswell, Chris Lintott, Robert Macro, Neil Morris, Wynne Thomas and Julia Thackray - in its 'Leaders Lists' for 2012. These honour wealth managers and professional advisers.
