Anna Bruce-Smith, a solicitor in the private client team in Penningtons' City office, has been included in this year's 'Top 35 under 35' list published by the highly regarded publication Private Client Practitioner. Anna is among 70 individuals, 35 men and 35 women, who have been named in the 2011 list.
The process began with nominations from the UK and UK offshore (Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man) for young and upcoming stars within the private client advisory professions, which include lawyers, accountants, trustees and other professional intermediaries. Once the nomination period closed, each candidate was judged on the strength of their nomination/s.
In addition to recognising the future key players in the private client profession, the 'Top 35 under 35' list provides an opportunity for the successful nominees to meet each other during the next 12 months through smaller events.
Anna trained at Penningtons and joined the private client team on qualification in 2008. She specialises in a broad range of private client work, with a focus on domestic and international tax structuring for individuals, families and trustees.
Quotes from colleagues about Anna include 'she has a thoroughly practical approach to the law, while being able to advise on technically difficult points' and that she is experienced at 'guiding clients to the appropriate solution'.
