Working restrictions for Croatian nationals to come into force after 1 July 2013

On 18 October 2012 the Governent introduced to Parliament the European Union (Croatian Accession) Bill which includes provisions for transitional access arrangements for Croatian nationals. It is expected that Croatia will join the European Union (EU) on 1 July 2013.

A statement of invent has been published by the Home Office setting out transitional arrangements restricting Croatian nationals’ access to the UK labour market. These arrangements will come into effect after 1 July 2013.
