Update on Tier 2 certificates of sponsorship allocations for 2012/13

The UKBA is experiencing large volumes of requests from sponsors who have applied to renew their 2012/13 allocation of certificates of sponsorship.

This has resulted in longer processing times and at times, a delay, in receiving the new allocation. The UKBA has announced that it aims to complete the bulk of the allocations, submitted before 6 April, by Friday 4 May 2012. Sponsors are being advised to email sponsorshipPBSenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk if they are sponsoring an overseas worker whose leave to remain expires on or before 4 May 2012 and need to submit an extension application.
