Migration Advisory Committee simplifies skilled migrant rules for employers

The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) has released a report recommending that a number of changes are brought into force to make it easier for businesses using the Tier 2 codes of practice.

The Tier 2 codes of practice set out the conditions employers must adhere to when recruiting workers from outside the EEC. The Governent decided earlier this year that the MAC would review these codes of practice in order to create a more straightforward and transparent system for both businesses and applicants.
