Our experienced financial Group Actions team are currently investigating financial spread betting claims in which customers may have been misled about the products and financial risks they were taking when placing or exiting bets.

If you placed a financial (not sports) spread bet and lost money on these products and would like to find out whether you might have a claim please complete the form below.

How do I know if I am eligible?

If you have placed a bet with a financial spread betting company on either a volatility index or spot commodity and lost money on these products between 2016 and 2022 you may be eligible. If you are a retail investor who has placed a bet with a financial spread betting company between the above dates and lost money you may also have a claim. However, there are a number of factors which will need to be considered carefully by our legal team before confirming your eligibility.

How much do I need to pay?

You do not need to pay anything at this stage. If there appears to be a strong claim, our team may be willing to act on a no win, no fee basis. You will be given an option to agree to this or not at a later date.

How do I know if I am a retail or professional investor?

The spread betting company will usually classify you as either a retail or professional investor. To become a professional investor you usually need to meet certain criteria. If you are unsure, you are most likely a retail investor but our legal team will be able to give you further guidance to assist you on this.
