Quick tier 2 sponsor licence turneround and exceptional restricted CoS request

Penningtons recently assisted a client with an urgent tier 2 sponsor licence application and restricted certificate of sponsorship application. After carrying out an audit at the client’s premises, we proceeded with submitting the sponsor licence application requesting urgent treatment. The application was processed within seven working days and in time to submit a request for a restricted CoS for July 2011.

However, due to the UKBA’s error, it failed to recognise Penningtons as the level 1 user which led to the restricted CoS request being rejected. Penningtons submitted the request again in the same month. After liaising with senior officials at the UKBA, Penningtons requested that it assessed the application on an exceptional basis.

The restricted CoS allocation was duly granted.
