Miami beauty appointment ends in emergency medical treatment
We were retained by a 25 year old woman who worked for a UK based airline. While on a stopover in Miami, she visited a beautician for eyelash extensions.
As a result of the beautician using too much glue, the claimant was left with one eye glued shut. She received emergency treatment in Miami and subsequently sought advice from Penningtons Manches upon her return to London. We worked in conjunction with Florida based lawyers and after securing evidence from a consultant ophthalmic surgeon, a settlement was reached in relation to her damages for injuries and consequential loss of earnings.
