Claim for remarkable young car passenger after severe brain injury

Our client was involved in a head-on collision while travelling as a front seat passenger in a friend’s car when she was an 18 year old student. She suffered a severe traumatic brain injury as well as various physical injuries.

At the time we became involved in her case, as a result of a personal recommendation, the prognosis for her from medical professionals was very guarded. However with the appointment of a case manager and support under the Rehabilitation Code as well as her own determination, she is making excellent progress.

She has been discharged to the family home from inpatient rehabilitation and we are in the process of sourcing a suitable property for her to live in with support.

We obtained an admission of liability from the driver’s insurer and have been actively assessing her needs and securing appropriate funding for her as the case is ongoing.
