The financial systems assistant will assist in the development and implementation of new, innovative and efficient financial systems and reporting for the firm, working with the financial systems accountant and financial reporting analyst to deliver financial technology projects in-house. The successful candidate will be IT literate with excellent knowledge of Excel and T-SQL/SQL Server Management Studio, and will have proven accuracy and excellent attention to detail. We are looking for a self-motivated KYC analyst to join our risk team. The successful applicant will support the MLRO by analysing the financial crime risks associated with new and existing clients. Those risks may arise out of connections to certain territories, the use of complex corporate structures, high value transactions, adverse media, political exposure and many other factors. We are looking for a self-motivated lawyer to assist the MLRO with financial crime legislation compliance. The role will include developing and overseeing the firm’s KYC and CDD processes, developing policies on a range of financial crime risks including money laundering, terrorist financing, criminal finances and economic sanctions, assessing the risks arising out of particular instructions and advising the MLRO/deputy MLRO on mitigation, due diligence measures and reporting obligations where appropriate. The role requires a commitment to improving the firm. This is a new role which may develop with the individual, however, applicants should ideally be qualified solicitors with up to three years’ PQE, including some experience of risk management, compliance and financial crime legislation.
