Saffa Mir

Associate

Saffa is an associate in the charities team, based in the London office. She specialises in acting for a wide range of charities, not for profit, and social enterprise clients. Her wide expertise covers a variety of matters including setting up, merging, and incorporating charities, and she often provides advice on governance matters, Charity Commission applications, trustee training, and permanent endowment.

As a named person on the Charity Commission’s Interim Manager panel, Saffa has assisted on matters where an Interim Manager has been appointed. This includes regularly liaising with the Charity Commission, trustees and other relevant third parties. She has experience in acting for clients of all sizes, from local village halls and museums to faith and grant-making charities and Oxbridge colleges.

I have a passion for the charities and not for profit sector, both at work when acting for clients and outside of work through my trustee roles. Understanding the needs of clients and being able to provide pragmatic advice is always at the forefront of what I do.

Saffa Mir, Associate

Given Saffa’s keen interest in the charity and not-for-profit sector, she is a trustee of two charities, Ihsan for Children Foundation and the Muslim Charities Forum. She also sits on the executive committee of the Charity Law Association as the junior representative director.
