Associate

Fareen is an associate in the family team, advising on all aspects of private family law. Based in the Oxford office, she also sees clients in Birmingham. Her experience includes divorce, financial disputes, cohabitation and children matters. Fareen is also able to advise on matters involving Sharia family law.

A member of Resolution, an organization which promotes a constructive approach to resolving family law matters, Fareen is committed to resolving disputes in a constructive manner and working with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes for all parties involved. She presently sits on the Oxfordshire Resolution committee, and has also sat on the committee for the Thames Valley Family Law Society.

I understand that separation and divorce can be some of the hardest times in a person’s life. I am here to support clients through this with expertise and clear advice, so they feel empowered at each stage of the process.

Fareen joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2021 after training and qualifying at a law firm in Surrey. An LLB graduate of the London School of Economics, she spent time after graduating working at Berkshire Women’s Aid before continuing with her legal training and qualification.

Submitting an application for maintenance pending suit, which was successfully settled in the client’s favour.

Assisting in a financial case involving significant non-disclosure of business interests where an application for specific disclosure was required.

Marriage disputes

Providing advice in a financial case involving significant disputes over the length of the marriage, the ring-fencing of pre-marriage and post-separation assets, and the parties’ respective contributions to the marriage.
