Ellis van der Vos

He acts for both lenders and borrowers on bilateral and syndicated loan agreements, often involving multiple parties and countries and high value transactions. Ellis’s clients include UK and overseas banks and corporate borrowers working in international trade finance, including receivables finance, as well as advising on operational and regulatory issues. With specialist knowledge of ship and yacht finance, Ellis works on the sale and purchase of vessels as well as advising on shipbuilding and repair contracts, finance agreements, security and registration. He works with the owners, operators, buyers and sellers of ships and yachts both in the UK and internationally, from small pleasure craft to superyachts, cruise ships, ferries and container vessels.

In addition, Ellis regularly assists the rest of the banking and finance team with other corporate finance transactions and advice, and has a keen interest in sustainability in the finance and shipping industries.
