Beth Bell

Knowledge lawyer

Beth is a knowledge lawyer, based in Guildford. Drawing on over nine years of post-qualification experience in family law, she provides strategic knowledge leadership to the firm’s family team.

Her role focuses on ensuring the team’s lawyers have access to the latest legal developments, practical tools, and strategic insight to deliver exceptional outcomes in complex, high-value family matters. Beth designs and implements training programmes, develops precedents, and leads on thought leadership, covering emerging legal trends and best practice. She plays a key role in the firm’s private wealth sector, collaborating across disciplines to deliver integrated, client-focused knowledge solutions for high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.

Supporting private wealth clients requires precision, discretion, and foresight. I’m passionate about equipping our lawyers with the knowledge, tools, and insights they need to resolve complex, cross-border issues with confidence and clarity. By translating legal developments into practical, strategic guidance, I help ensure we remain ahead in an increasingly complex global landscape.

Beth Bell, Knowledge lawyer

As part of this cross-sector work, Beth provides dedicated knowledge support to the firm’s art, cultural property and luxury group. This includes developing guidance and training on issues arising at the intersection of family law and high-value tangible assets, such as art collections, heritage assets, and luxury holdings. Her work addresses the unique challenges these assets present in family proceedings, including valuation, provenance, and jurisdictional considerations, ensuring fee earners are equipped to guide clients on complex, often cross-border, disputes with confidence.

Previously a senior associate in the family team, Beth advised on complex financial remedy proceedings, private children matters, and protective injunctions, frequently involving international assets and jurisdictional issues. Recognised as a ‘recommended lawyer’ in the Legal 500 for her forensic mind and exceptional judgement, she brings that depth of experience to her knowledge role, combining technical excellence with a strong focus on innovation and professional development.
