Clare recently joined the Penningtons Manches Cooper pensions team having worked in the firm’s employment team as a solicitor since 2000. As a senior associate in the Guildford office, she specialised in contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising on all aspects of employment law with an emphasis on claims prevention and pro-active commercial solutions.
With her wealth of experience, Clare has invaluable relevant skills and knowledge to bring to the pensions team on discrimination, contract law, and employee relations. She has a particular interest in DC pensions and is developing the team’s governance offering. Clare is also involved in transaction support and employee benefits as well as providing general pensions advice. She has experience of advising on the duties of scheme administrators, trustee appointments and drafting and amending trust documents.
Clare is a member of the Association of Pensions Lawyers and the Employment Lawyers Association. While working in the employment team, she was noted as ‘one to watch’ in Chambers UK which quoted one client as saying she “knows her stuff, is prepared to listen and takes my concerns seriously”.
