Travel law partner appears on the ‘Assistance Stories’ podcast to discuss the travel insurance industry and Consumer Duty

Penningtons Manches Cooper partner and head of the travel law team Mark Lee recently featured on an episode of ‘Assistance Stories’, a podcast providing insights into, and the latest stories from, the assistance, travel insurance, IPMI and wider insurance industries.

Mark joined hosts Tom Bool (CEO of Lexxika, provider of language services to the global insurance industry) and Juan Peña Núñez (senior development underwriter – A&H Global Accounts at Zurich), for a discussion about his work as an international travel lawyer, and the impact that seismic events such as Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic – as well as the introduction of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Consumer Duty in 2023, with its focus on improving outcomes for consumers – have had on travel insurers, particularly with regard to cross border claims and policy wordings.
