Penningtons Manches Cooper strengthens restructuring team with specialist insolvency hire

Top 50 law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper has expanded its restructuring and insolvency practice with the appointment of managing associate Rachel Brown. 

Rachel’s arrival further enhances the firm’s capabilities in complex insolvency matters. A highly experienced commercial litigator and insolvency specialist, her practice focuses on high value, complex matters, often with a cross-jurisdictional element.  

Rachel, who joins from Howard Kennedy, has significant experience of advising insolvency practitioners on all elements arising from their appointments, including the pursuit of claims for the benefit of creditors. Rachel supports and guides key stakeholders within distressed businesses. She also regularly acts for  creditors and lenders with an interest in distressed scenarios and has a strong track record in defending claims against directors. 

Rachel will be based in the firm’s London office and will work closely with Head of Restructuring and Insolvency,  Rebecca Andrews-Walker and the wider team. The multi-disciplinary team advise on the full spectrum of restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy and recovery matters.
