Profile

Dominik is an associate in the commercial dispute resolution team in London and specialises in insolvency and finance matters. He advises on international debt recoveries and enforcements, asset recovery - including crypto assets, both contentious and non-contentious insolvencies – including cross-border insolvencies, commercial litigation, antecedent transactions and directors’ duties, corporate and financial restructurings, civil fraud and ESG concerns.

Acting on complex matters with cross-border elements, Dominik understands commercial realities and the importance of adopting a client-focused approach. He has worked with clients such as funds and other investors, start-ups, banks, landlords, schools, victims of fraud, insolvency practitioners, and directors and shareholders, and has experience on matters in the banking, energy, charities, sports and digital assets sectors.

His previous cases include County Court and high-profile High Court litigation, CVAs, MVLs, debt restructurings and refinancings, and insolvency-related regulatory issues, including the regulatory implications of pre-pack administrations. Dominik has also assisted with issues in trading administrations, safeguarding and discrimination, shareholder disputes, reputational issues and defamation, group actions and alternative dispute resolution. He qualified with the firm in 2023, having joined as a trainee solicitor.

  • Guiding an insolvent energy company through Ofgem’s SOLR process during the height of the energy crisis.
  • Assisting an ultra high net worth individual in recovering sums from various corporate borrowers, while simultaneously defending debt claims brought against them by employees and advising on potential defamation by another senior employee.
  • Assisting on a CVA proposal for a company with over 60 creditors.
