Peter is a partner based in London and head of the construction advisory and dispute resolution team. He specialises in construction and related professional negligence and insurance claims. Clients consultant him for legal and disputes avoidance advice on ongoing projects where issues over quality, change, delay or underperformance arise.

Peter is favoured to lead technically complex and multi-party defects claims in the UK and overseas, advising following the discovery of defects, through remedial works and to the effective resolution of any claim. He has an established practice in fire and building safety claims, having acted in connection with high-profile fires at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Lakanal House and Grenfell Tower. He has successfully brought about the remediation of a large number of tall residential buildings with safety issues and has particular experience in quality issues on highways, waste management and energy projects. He is also highly experienced in claims under construction contracts relating to payment, change, delay/disruption and termination.

I am inspired by how hard my team works to achieve excellent outcomes for clients, while providing excellent service to make any legal process understandable and manageable. I am also inspired by opportunities to use our experience to steer clients away from disputes whenever possible.
