Rebecca is a senior associate in the Court of Protection team. She qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined the firm in January 2014.
She specialises in working with individuals who have suffered a severe brain injury as a result of personal injury or medical negligence, for which they will be entitled to compensation. She advises clients and their families on the appropriate vehicle for their compensation to be managed; including the management of funds for clients who lack capacity to manage their property and financial affairs and fall within the jurisdiction of the Court of Protection and clients who have retained capacity but require a personal injury trust.
Rebecca advises on the appointment of deputies, statutory wills and personal injury trusts. She works closely with the litigating solicitors dealing with the personal injury or clinical negligence claims to support the litigation process and assists with the preparation of witness statements detailing the future professional deputyship costs.
