Profile

Lucie qualified into the personal injury and clinical negligence team in September 2009 after joining the firm as a trainee in September 2007. She deals with a diverse range of clinical negligence and personal injury cases with a focus on delayed diagnosis of cancer claims, fatal accident/negligence claims, general surgical and orthopaedic negligence claims.

She has particular expertise in catastrophic brain injury cases and highly complex cases involving multiple defendants relating to delayed diagnosis and treatment of Cauda Equina Syndrome.

Lucie is a member of the AvMA Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel.

Recent work highlights

  • Assisting on two extremely high value and complex catastrophic brain injury cases, both of which culminated in multi-million pound settlements.
  • Advising on a complex delayed diagnosis of breast cancer case with substantial quantum for a client who was a film screenwriter.
  • Settling a significant Fatal Accidents Act 1976 claim for the cohabiting partner of a pedestrian killed in a hit and run accident.
  • Acting for a bereaved family in their claims for loss of dependency and psychiatric injury following the death of a young mother due to delayed diagnosis of brain haemorrhage.
