Angela has a First in law from Cambridge University. She trained in the City of London and qualified as a solicitor in 2000 before practising as a corporate transactional lawyer in an international law firm and in the London office of a US law firm. Angela joined Penningtons Manches Cooper as a corporate knowledge lawyer in 2014.
In her role as a transactional lawyer, Angela advised on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity-backed buyouts, group reorganisations, AIM IPOs and venture capital investments, as well as providing general UK corporate law advice to US clients. She has experience advising clients across a wide range of sectors including technology and life sciences, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, media and telecommunications, hospitality, real estate and financial services.
As a knowledge lawyer, Angela supports the corporate team by writing precedents, delivering training and seminars, encouraging and facilitating the sharing of knowledge and increasing cost-effectiveness by improving processes and reducing wastage. She is also involved in packaging and distributing corporate knowhow and information to clients, making the complex digestible and focusing on the practical implications of the law in a real world context.
