Profile

Minara is a senior associate in the social housing team.

She has extensive experience in the social housing sector advising registered providers (RPs) on the property aspects of charging large portfolios of properties for bank lending, bond issues, private placements and refinancing. Minara exclusively works for RPs and leads the social housing team on large scale charging exercises, top up work, title rectification work and deeds of variations.

Having previously worked for another City law firm, she has acted for small registered providers to G15 members, and has led on charging of security under varying loan facilities, private placements, public bonds and EMTN programmes ranging from £1 million to £500 million.

Recent work highlights

  • Acting for a registered provider on its £50 million private placement.
  • Assisting with a release and recharge from the association’s £100m Capital Bond to EMTN Programme Security Trust.
  • Advising a G15 association on its £100 million charging exercise on an unallocated basis in readiness for its bond issuance.
  • Acting for a registered provider (for profit organisation) on a rolling programme, including assessing various S.106 agreements/planning permissions to ensure that the properties can be charged in the future.
