Laurence is an associate in the corporate team, based in the London office. He advises on a broad range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, investment, corporate restructuring and general corporate governance throughout the company lifecycle.

Acting for a variety of clients, including start-ups, owner-managed companies, university spin-outs and large global corporations, Laurence has experience in the retail and hospitality, technology, healthcare and life sciences sectors.

Laurence qualified as a solicitor in September 2020. During his training contract with the firm, he gained valuable experience in areas of law applicable to corporate matters, having completed seats within the commercial dispute resolution and commercial, IP and IT teams.

  • Advising on a group reorganisation and restructuring worth circa $60 million with cross-border elements.
  • Acting on several share purchase transactions, including a £7 million acquisition of a hotel.
  • Providing advice to a renowned sporting-events brand in order to successfully undertake a cross-border creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
  • Acting on multiple funding rounds involving equity issuances, including the D2 funding round for global talent mobility platform, Topia.
  • Assisting boards of directors on debt finance arrangements, including directors’ loans, loan notes and the provision of associated security.
