Profile

Joel is a partner in our real estate team. With a broad range of commercial and residential experience, he has particular expertise in acting for family offices on a range of investment and development matters.

He also has extensive knowledge of the automotive, rail and retail sectors, having advised on a number of landmark transactions for multinationals and public sector organisations alike. Examples include acting for a major auto manufacturer on its largest dealership in Europe and for the financial services division of one of the world’s leading automotive companies on its award winning UK headquarters. Joel also sits on the board of the British Motor Museum.

His work covers new builds in the private rented sector, regeneration projects, shopping centres, hotels and leisure properties, car dealerships, offices and warehouses. 

Joel joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in April 2019. He is named as a leader in his field in both The Legal 500 and Chambers UK.

Recent work highlights

  • Leading a multidisciplinary team working on the redevelopment of Waterloo International Terminal.
  • Advising on a new mixed use leisure-led tower in London with a capitalised value in excess of £500 million.
  • Acting on the development of the bespoke and leading edge new facilities in Doncaster and Birmingham for the National College for High Speed Rail.
