Profile

Gill joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2010 as a trainee solicitor having graduated from the University of Warwick with an LLP Degree in Law in 2006, before completing the Legal Practice Course at Kaplan Law School in London. Prior to this, she spent time working within the legal sector, including six months at the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS). Gill qualified in 2012 and is now a senior associate in our London office.

She undertakes all aspects of private family law, including divorce and separation, cohabitation disputes and all issues regarding private law children matters. Gill has experience of complex financial issues, as well as those with an international dimension. She has been involved in both financial and children proceedings in various county courts, the Principal Registry and the High Court.

Gill is a member of Resolution.

Recent work highlights

  • Assisting in recent High Court freezing injunction proceedings, including attending the ex parte application and subsequent return date.
  • Advising on voluntary settlements in a number of high net worth cases.
  • Assisting clients with intractable contact disputes in children proceedings.
  • Acting for the successful wife in the case of AB v JJB, one of the first reported cases to focus on the English court’s jurisdiction under Article 3 of the European Maintenance Regulation.
