Emma is a senior associate in the Oxford family team. She qualified in 2010 after training at a firm in west London and joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in June 2019.
Specialising in all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, cohabitation disputes and private children disputes, Emma advises on the financial issues which arise from the breakdown of relationships for both married and unmarried couples. She has a particular interest in cohabitation disputes and claims which arise in relation to property for unmarried couples. She is experienced in acting for third party intervenors in matrimonial finance cases to pursue third party interests in matrimonial assets.
Emma has significant experience in advising on disputes over the arrangements for children including when there have been allegations of domestic violence and where a parent has been alienated from their children. A member of Resolution, Emma is a Resolution accredited specialist in private law children matters and complex financial remedies and sits as the chairperson of Thames Valley Family Lawyers' Society.
