Comfort is an associate in the employment team in Reading. She and advises employers and individuals on the full range of employment matters including discrimination, unfair dismissal, GDPR, whistleblowing, TUPE and day-to-day HR issues, such as managing capability and misconduct. She represents both private and public sector organisations and acts for a number of housing associations.

Comfort qualified in 2017 and assists clients with employment tribunal litigation, the negotiation of settlement agreements and drafting employment contracts, consultancy agreements, policies and staff handbooks.

Recent work highlights

  • Acting on behalf of a housing association to defend claims of disability discrimination, age discrimination and unfair constructive dismissal in the employment tribunal.
  • Assisting with the review and amendment of a FTSE 250 listed company’s policies and processes to ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Providing support to a client on the TUPE process, which involved the transfer of employees to a new service provider.
