A senior associate in the London office, Susie is a member of the IP, IT and commercial team. She advises on non-contentious commercial matters, including contractual joint ventures, collaboration agreements, partnership arrangements, and agreements relating to supply, franchising, distribution, sponsorship, licensing, and technology, as well as data protection.
Susie returned to Penningtons Manches Cooper after several years in the higher education sector, working in-house at both Imperial College London and the University of Oxford. While at Imperial, Susie acted on a range of matters, including gift and grant agreements to fund research, scholarships, prizes and capital projects, services and consultancy agreements, SaaS agreements, website terms and conditions, online learning platforms, IP licences and data protection. Highlights of Susie’s time at Oxford include advising on the establishment of the Alan Turing Institute as a joint venture between five universities and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, and providing guidance on the establishment of a bio-incubator facility for start-up businesses.
Susie also has experience of the renewable energy sector, having spent two years working in-house for a developer of anaerobic digestion projects.
