Profile

Michael is a case manager in the firm’s real estate litigation team who joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2011. He has specialist experience in residential real estate litigation and housing management and works closely with the housing team.

His work includes advising clients on rent arrears, landlord and tenant disputes, possession and squatters’ actions, anti-social behaviour, section 20 consultation, and First Tier Tribunal proceedings.

Michael is a member of the Property Litigation Association and the Social Housing Law Association. He regularly contributes articles to The Housing Law Monitor, Lexology and the firm’s real estate litigation updates.

Recent work highlights

Managing a PLC property investor’s residential portfolio worth over £300 million involving litigating disputes with tenants and recovery of arrears and possession.
Advising a landlord client on the recovery of significant service charge arrears in relation to a prestigious block of flats near Hyde Park, London.
Acting for social housing landlords in the G15 with regard to management of their shared ownership and leasehold portfolios.
Advising both social housing and private residential landlords on Section 20 Consultation for major works to extensive property portfolios.
