Edward is an associate in the private client team in London, advising on a range of private client matters including tax planning, wills, trusts, and international tax issues.
He has a particular interest in the use of corporate structures as a means of long-term estate planning and the availability of business relief (formerly known as business property relief) as a means of inheritance tax planning. Edward also works closely with the charities team in relation to existing charitable clients and individuals who wish to establish new charities.
Edward studied history at Royal Holloway, University of London. After graduating he completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, obtaining a distinction in both. He qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2019 from another London law firm. Edward is an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is currently studying towards his diploma in UK tax and estate planning.
