Iris is an associate in the banking and finance team, based in the London office. She advises on a range of finance-related matters, such as financial services regulation and compliance, general corporate banking, international trade finance and real estate finance.

Much of her work involves an international element and she has acted for a variety of both international and domestic banks and companies.

Iris qualified as a solicitor with Penningtons Manches Cooper in September 2020, having previously gained a wealth of experience as a trainee in the firm’s commercial real estate, employment and shipping departments.

  • Acting for UK-based housing development companies and housing associations in the refinancing of £6 million and £16 million revolving credit facilities.
  • Providing advice to various international banks on the impact that Brexit and the Temporary Permissions Regime will have on their UK branches.
  • Advising an international bank on the closure of its UK operations due to the Brexit transition period ending.
  • Acting for international banks and large exporting and importing companies on various trade financing facilities and advising on associated disputes.
  • Assisting on the circa £30 million sale of a development project.
