Profile

Harriet is a senior associate in the commercial dispute resolution team in London. She acts for mid to large corporates as well as individuals based in the UK and overseas, advising on a wide variety of commercial and financial services disputes, most of which have a multi-jurisdictional / international element. Harriet regularly deals with banking and financial litigation, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, freezing injunctions and jurisdictional issues. She also works closely with the corporate, commercial and family teams. 

Recent client feedback includes praise for Harriet’s ‘can do attitude’ and her ‘uniquely brilliant writing style enabling her to provide first class legal advice’. She has also been described as a ‘superb lawyer’.

Harriet completed her Legal Practice Course in London, graduating with distinction. She practised at another City law firm for four years before joining Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2016.

  • Acting on a multi-million pound warranty dispute between two large plcs.
  • Advising an overseas company on a contractual claim involving a UK jurisdictional challenge.
  • Assisting a large corporate on a freezing injunction and on the production of banking documents to trace stolen funds, and successfully recovering those funds.
  • Advising a group of organisations in relation to claims brought by a building society arising out of the FCA’s liquidity requirements.
  • Advising individuals in relation to claims against lenders for mis-selling of swaps.
